On Monday, 6th November 2023, H.E. Mrs. Sylvia Naa Adaawa Annoh, Ambassador of Ghana to Denmark and Sweden participated in the commissioning of a library project by the Member of Parliament of Okaikwei South, Hon. Darkoa Newman. The Ambassador supported the commissioning of the library project with books donated by some students and some reading clubs in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The donation of the books was facilitated by Ms. Amy Faircloth, an anthropologist and librarian with the Copenhagen International School in Denmark.
In her address during the event, the Ambassador stated that the ‘vision in taking on this passion project was to raise the next generation of readers’. She thanked Ms. Amy Faircloth and her partners for their passion for literacy which culminated in the generous donation of hundreds of books to equip the library.
