GHANA AND DANISH COMPANY TO EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES OF ASSEMBLING ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN GHANA

Following a visit of a Danish/Swedish business delegation to Ghana led by the Ambassador of Ghana to Denmark and Sweden, H.E. Mrs. Sylvia Naa Adaawa Annoh, from 25th โ€“ 27th October 2023 the Ministry of Trade and Industry signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with a Danish private limited company, Byteblocs International on 2nd November 2023.


The MoU is to promote the investment and development of an Aluminum Recycling and Components Manufacturing Plant (which will include Lithium batteries), LED Lighting and Electric mobility vehicles manufacture in Ghana.


The signing ceremony took place at the premises of the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Accra, in the presence of H.E. Mrs. Sylvia Naa Adaawa Annoh. The Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Kobina Tahir Hammond, signed for the Ministry, whilst the Chief Executive Officer, Jakob Munkgaard Andersen signed on behalf of Byteblocs International.
